Apple Facetime

Apple Facetime is an application that specializes in video conferencing. This was developed to work exclusively with products that run (operating systems) iOS and OS X. Products that operate with iOS are usually mobile devices such as iPhone, iPod, and iPad.

Products that run the Mac OS X are the Mac Desktops and Laptops. Facetime also works with any device with an iSight camera installed on it. These previously mentioned products (iOS, OS X, iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc.) are Apple products.

Apple Inc. is a corporation that specializes in computer hardware, software and electronics. They are one of the largest computer and consumer electronic companies in the world operating in over 14 countries. Apple used to be named Apple Computers. However, due to the wide array of products lines they offer, Apple Computers changed their names to Apple Inc.

Steve Jobs was partly responsible for Apple’s success as he served as C.E.O., Chairman, and co – founder. He was known as a successful pioneer, innovator and entrepreneur. He was born on February 24, 1955 and passed away October 5th, 2011.

Facetime only works with Apple products. A company called Actiance Inc. was originally called Facetime Communications until Apple Inc. bought the name.

With Apple Facetime, not only can you make calls to one of your friends with another Facetime account, but you can make calls to their email addresses or just dial their number. That email or number has to be registered to a Facetime account. Apple Facetime is one of the only video conferencing programs / applications (the other is iChat) that is made by Apple Inc.

However, it is used just as much commercially as most other video conferencing applications that operate on a windows platform. This is very likely because of the high number of businesses that use Mac laptops and iPads for Education, Healthcare, Medical, News programs and Government purposes.
